The urban sports park in Lansingerland: a fully designed public space with a 450m2 skatepark
The township of Lansingerland has gained a new Urban Sports Park. Together with the township, we undertook this project from design to realization. The space was completely transformed, with the centerpiece being the 450m2 skatepark. In the heart of the skatepark, there is a planter with a tree.
The request from the township
At the recommendation of Keet Oldenbeuving, the township of Lansingerland has gained an Urban Sports Park. Together with Keet and local skaters, we embraced the challenge of creating a unique skatepark in Bleiswijk. With the support of the Lansingerland township, we've established a remarkable venue that now provides an urban sports park for people of all ages, introducing them to various sports.
The realization by Nine Yards
We were invited to take on this project due to our extensive experience in public skateparks and our unique designs. With numerous successful installations in our portfolio, we brought our expertise to the table. The space was entirely transformed, with an anthracite bench serving as a clear boundary between the skate facility and other sports equipment. The high-quality concrete finishing ensures a perfect riding experience. This track seamlessly blends the two disciplines within the skateboarding sport, park, and street, offering a great deal of diversity in design. The color combinations in the park harmonize with the surrounding area, creating a cohesive appearance.
