Multifunctional bowl in Boxmeer
The township of Boxmeer had a challenging water management case. We, at Nine Yards, solved it with a multifunctional bowl in the heart of Weijerpark. Beneficial for local skaters, residents, the township of Boxmeer, and the Water Board.
The request from township Boxmeer
The township of Boxmeer was looking for a water management solution. Together, we tackled this challenge and utilized a budget from the Water Board. As a result, Nine Yards designed a 600m2 pool that also serves as water storage. The outcome is a multifunctional skate spot right in the heart of Weijerpark in the city.
The realization by Nine Yards
In the heart of Weijerpark, you can now find this spacious bowl with exciting features. The bowl features steel coping, a corner with pool tiles, an extension, and a waterfall to add diversity to the bowl. At the park entrance, there are two curved ledges that can also be used as seating. The bowl is designed to maintain a perfect flow and has two height levels.
