Urban Sports Week Amsterdam 2019
In the middle of Museumplein in Amsterdam, the Urban Sports Week was once again organized by TIG-sports in 2019. For this edition of the event, Nine Yards Skateparks was once again enlisted to provide the course for the skateboarding component.
The event in Amsterdam
In collaboration with the SFN, Nine Yards Skateparks established the format for the competition. With certified judges and two dynamic hosts, this was a high-level skateboard event. The design of the course was entrusted to our team and features various layers that encourage creative use of the obstacles.
The skate event
The event spanned over 3 days, with the first day featuring a best trick contest for local skaters in collaboration with the local skate shop Ben-G. Especially for the best trick contest and to give back to the Amsterdam skate scene, an obstacle was created, which then remained in Amsterdam at Skatepark Noord. The steep bank was heavily skated and is characterized by the colored tiles that are also part of Ben-G's branding.
